EVO extended innovative Smart Home platform!

Engergieversorgung Offenbach (EVO) is one of the pioneers on the German Smart Home market. Since autumn 2013, EVO customers benefit from further intelligent solutions for mobile home control. The basis is the innovative and secure Smart Home platform developed by MTG.

The new offer includes intelligent heating and lighting controls. This solution also shuts down energy guzzlers, such as for example stand-by equipment, comfortably and easy by certain rules assigned to them. The notification function provides additional security. For example, the user is informed, if a window was opened. The holiday function reduces heating costs and simulates the human presence through intelligent lighting control. Especially attractive for EVO customers is the possibility to use own photos of the rooms in the portal. This allows to individually customize the portal interface and facilitates the orientation in the system.

NetHouse Smart Home is part of our energy management platform. This platform is based on the architecture that offers numerous customization options for individual business models and customer requirements. Therefore, EVO was able to implement the individual ideas and requests in collaboration with mtg very fast and independent of the technology.

In contrast to the classic Internet gateways, MTG works with advanced encryption technologies based on certificates. This allows building a so-called VPN tunnel from inside out from MTG gateway to the Internet user. This technology is very safe and prevents strangers from gaining access to the system while at the same time allowing users to easily control the intelligent devices at home from anywhere via the Internet. A further advantage of this technology is the "plug & play" design, no complicated configuration of the Internet router is required.
